Movie ("USVO") is currently suing MovieLink.com over their patent
infringement claims of owning the process of downloading videos from
a (web) server. USVO's patent was filed prior to Acacia, but not early enough to be considered prior art. USVO is a publicly traded company (see stock lookup link to the left). In reading their SEC filings, they have the viability of their company hinging upon winning the lawsuit against MovieLink. A win against MovieLink would certainly be monumental since it would help back their claims of owning the process to downloading movies. USA Interactive's background as a company is based on Video-On-Demand (VOD) and Pay-per-View (PPV) in the broadcase industry. The MovieLink lawsuit has been filed with no court date set yet.
